At the November conference of the National Oral History Association of New Zealand (NOHANZ), SchoolDocs writer Emily Anderson was surprised to receive the prize for best article in the Oral History in New Zealand journal.
The article was co-written with Helen Frizzell and described creating Emily’s book Hurunui Seismic Stories – seventeen stories from small town heroes who lived through the 7.8 Kaikoura earthquake in 2016.
As well as working part-time for SchoolDocs, Emily has a small oral history company, Origin Stories.
